Short CV:

Nathanael van der Beek is a research fellow and PhD candidate at the Freie Universität Berlin, working in the Berlin Potsdam Research Group “The International Rule of Law – Rise or Decline?”. He studied law at Freie Universität Berlin and Université Paris-Est Créteil and specialized in Public International Law and European Law. He passed his first legal state examination in 2021. During his studies, he worked as a student assistant for the Max-Planck-Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law from 2017-2021 and participated in the Willem C. Vis Moot Court 2017 in International Commercial Arbitration Law. Prior to his studies at Freie Universität, he interned at the Office of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit in Kigali, Rwanda.
