Dr. Alfredo Crosato Neumann holds a master and PhD in international law from the Geneva Graduate Institute, and is currently assistant professor of international law at Kadir Has University in Istanbul. Previously, he worked as lecturer in international dispute settlement for the MIDS programme of the Graduate Institute and the University of Geneva, and as teaching assistant at the International Law Department of the Graduate Institute.

Dr. Crosato's research interests cover various areas of international law, including the sources of international law (in particular general principles of law, having assisted the ILC Special Rapporteur on the topic), the law of State responsibility, territorial disputes and maritime delimitation, and dispute settlement. His first book, entitled "Res Judicata in International Law", will appear in early 2025.

Dr. Crosato actively advises States and other entities on international law matters. He also acts as counsel and advocate in cases before international courts and tribunals, including the International Court of Justice, the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, the Permanent Court of Arbitration, and the International Criminal Court.
