Short CV:

Wojciech Burek is an Assistant Professor (Adjunct) at the Institute of European Studies, Jagiellonian University in Cracow (Poland). Currently, he is a Humboldt Fellow at the MenschenRechtsZentrum of the University of Potsdam (Humboldt Research Fellowship for experienced researchers).

He holds a PhD in Legal Sciences with a specialisation in public international law (2008). He also obtained diplomas from the American Law Program organised by the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law and Jagiellonian University (2004) and from the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights School of Human Rights (2004). He was the recipient of the Stanislaw Kutrzeba Human Rights in Europe Prize (2008) and The Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship (founded by Tokio Foundation - 2007). Since 2014 he's been editor-in-chief of PWMP - Review of International, European and Comparative Law (see here). He has authored reports and analyses, and cooperates with several non-governmental organisations.

His academic and professional interests include international human rights law, diplomatic and consular law, EU anti-discrimination law.
