Short CV:

Hélène Tigroudja is Professor of Public International Law at Aix-Marseille University (France), where she is the director of the Public International Law Master 2. She is also a serving Member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee (Special Rapporteur on New Communications and Interim Measures). Her fields of research and teaching are International Human Rights Law (comparative perspectives, litigation, reparations), International Criminal Law (especially Gender and Sexual Based-Violence) and Humanitarian Law. Hélène is also a NYU Hauser Global Professor and in 2023, she will give a lecture at The Hague Academy of International Law ("IHRL and Armed Conflicts", in French)."

Since 2002, she has acted regularly as an expert for the Council of Europe (implementation of the ECHR; protection of Internally Displaced Persons; freedom of religion and protection of religious minorities; improvement of domestic judicial institutions; protection of migrants); the United Nations (UNODC programs on fight against terrorism) and the European Union (esp. on international humanitarian law and on domestic judicial system of States’ candidates to the integration to EU).
