Short CV:

Sophie Duroy is a post-doctoral fellow in the Berlin Potsdam Research Group 'International Rule of Law Rise or Decline?'. Her current research interests include the governance of global security in the international legal order; behavioural and regulatory approaches to international law; the role of international law and the functioning of the international legal order; and the security-liberty conundrum.

Prior to joining the research group, she was a doctoral researcher at the European University Institute (Florence, Italy), where she defended her PhD dissertation 'The regulation of intelligence activities under international law' in November 2020, and a lecturer in French Constitutional Law at Sciences Po Paris. Sophie holds an LL.M. in Public International Law (Cum laude) from Leiden University, an LL.B. Law and French Law (Hons. 1st Class) from the University of Essex, and a Matrise in European and International Law from the University of Paris X Nanterre.
