Profile: Short CV & Select Publications

Short CV:

Andrea Leiter is a researcher in international law focusing on technology enabled global governance. She obtained her PhD in a jointly-awarded degree program between the University of Melbourne and the University of Vienna with a dissertation in the history of international investment law titled ‘Making the World Safe for Investment: The Protection of Foreign Property 1922-1959’. She was a visiting researcher at Institute of Global Law and Policy at Harvard Law School and lectures on Algorithmic Law and Governance at Sciences Po Paris. She researches on global inequality and transnational law making through private actors with a focus on the digital economy. Andrea also consults government agencies, start-ups and industry stakeholders on law and blockchain technology, with a focus on dispute resolution, the automation of decision making, and algorithmic governance.
