NewsPublic Event: Thomas Franck Lecture by Laurence Boisson de ChazournesOn 4 February 2019, the Research Group hosted a Thomas Franck Lecture by Professor Laurence Boisson de Chazournes, University of Geneva, on
Laurence Boisson de Chazournes is Professor of International Law and International Organizations at the University of Geneva. Her areas of expertise include international environmental law, the law of international organizations, international economic law, and international dispute settlement. She was Senior Advisor to the World Bank from 1995 to 1999. Since then, she has served as a counsel and arbitrator in various dispute settlement procedures, including the International Court of Justice, WTO, and ICSID. She is also an advisor to various international organizations, including the World Bank, the World Health Organization, the United Nations Development Programme, and the International Labour Organization. Laurence Boisson de Chazournes is a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (CPA), the Court of Arbitration for Sport and is on the list of WTO experts. She is the author and editor of fourteen books and many other publications. |
