KFG welcomes new senior fellows: Pierre d'Argent and Oliver Diggelmann

On 1 February 2018, Prof. Dr. Pierre d'Argent and Prof. Dr. Oliver Diggelmann joined the Research Group as new senior fellows.

Pierre d’Argent teaches and practices international law. He is full professor at the University of Louvain and guest professor at the University of Leiden. He has been director of studies and taught a summer course at The Hague Academy of International Law. Associate Member of the Institute of International Law, he is the author of about 100 published articles and member of the editorial boards of the Revue belge de droit international and the Annuaire français de droit international.
He appeared as counsel before the International Court of Justice and later served the ICJ as First Secretary. He is a member of the Brussels Bar, special counsel to Foley Hoag LLP, and argues international law cases before international tribunals and domestic courts.

Oliver Diggelmann is holding the chair for international and constitutional law at the University of Zurich. He is co-director of the Institute for International and Comparative Constitutional Law and co-editor of the Swiss Review of International and European Law (SRIEL). He previously was professor of international law at Andrássy University Budapest and visiting scholar/fellow at the UC Berkeley, at Yale Law School, and the University of Cambridge. He also was visiting professor at Hebrew University Jerusalem and the University of St. Gallen and Chevening Scholar of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom.
