4 July 2017: Public Event "International Law in an Era of Populism" - Indiana University Joint Speaker Series

In the context of the joint speakers series between Indiana University and Freie Universität Berlin, members of both universities explored some of the distinct populist critiques of international law and institutions as well as the implications of this phenomenon on the development of international law

Heike Krieger, professor of international law at Freie Universität Berlin and Co-Chair of the Berlin Potsdam Research Group on "The international rule of law - rise or decline?", and David Bosco, associate professor at the School of Global and International Studies at Indiana University, discussed their research on this topic. The event was moderated by Reinhard Müller, lawyer und journalist of the newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
