KFG Berlin Potsdam Research Group "The International Rule of Law - Rise or Decline?"

The Berlin Potsdam Research Group 'The International Rule of Law - Rise or Decline?' hosted a public lecture by Dr. Ute Hohoff, on

"The International Criminal Court – Between Internationality and Sovereignty".

Dr. Ute Hohoff is a judge at the German Federal Court of Justice (Bundesgerichtshof), Criminal Division. In this capacity, she has, inter alia, been responsible for proceedings pursuant to the German Code of Crimes Against International Law. Previous to holding this position, she has been a judge in North-Rhine-Westphalia, including at the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court and the Cologne Higher Regional Court. She has also been seconded to the Ministry of Justice of North Rhine-Westphalia. She holds a PhD from Humboldt University Berlin where she also worked as research assistant. She is the current German candidate for the 2023 election for a judgeship at the International Criminal Court.
